Building in Public

I started sharing my work publicly about a year ago. Not in a "personal brand" way — more in a "here's what I built, here's what I learned, here's what broke" way.

The second-order effects surprised me:

• Writing clarifies thinking — explaining reveals gaps in understanding
• Building attracts builders — peer exchange is incredibly valuable
• Accountability is motivating — public commitments have higher completion rates

If you're considering building in public, start with one piece: a postmortem, a technical decision you're proud of, or a tool that solved a real problem.
